Having lost a significant amount of weight it was really important for me to maintain the new me and ensure I maintained a reasonable level of fitness.

As I am not a natural sportsperson,It was important for me to find a trainer that would continue to challenge, motivate and constantly push the boundaries whilst ensuring that there was an element of fun in the hour long sessions.

I have now been training with Richard for about 16 months, and during that time he has helped me change my body shape, significantly increase my fitness levels and kept me motivated to continue going to the gym regularly.

I never quite know what our weekly sessions will hold! It can range from using the tortuous kettlebells (the only ringing I hear is in my ears!), the heavy ropes, (don’t ask!) core balance work, a session of boxing...the list goes on and on!

Whilst the sessions with Rich are extremely challenging, I end each session on a high knowing that I have worked really hard and once again pushed myself a little further than I would if I had worked out on my own.

I would highly recommend Rich and the Reach Health & Performance team to anyone who has the desire to get fit, lose weight or simply challenge themselves a little more than they currently do in their current fitness regime.

The first thing I noticed when I met Richard was his genuine interest in my goals and how I was going to set about achieving them.

I would recommend training with Richard to everyone; no matter what your goals are. I had spent 14 months ‘drifting’ putting in maximum effort for minimum results. Then after meeting Richard the results were visible within 12 weeks!

Having the confidence to believe in your programme combined with the nutritional advice I have been given I am now fitter than I have ever been, and for the first time, I know I can keep on consistently improving – all this without my training becoming repetitive.

I have been training with Reach for 6 months now. Being a naturally lazy person from a non-sporty background, personal training has been a bit of a shock. The ones in the park feel like I have been transported back to PE at school without the slacking off at the back of the class.

But I’ve noticed a huge change in how I am coping with life. I can keep going through the week, go out in the evening and don’t feel so exhausted at the weekend. I’m also pretty sure that the weights are getting bigger and the rests shorter. So that can only be a good thing!

The sessions are tailored to my particular goals like getting ski fit and helping me to understand the way my body works, sorting all the fact from fiction. Personal Training with Reach is much more enjoyable, challenging and rewarding than exercising by yourself.
